Other Creative Endeavors

After "discovering" my creative side, I experimented with various mediums to learn my preferences and explore how knowledge from one medium could enhance another. My pursuits included acrylic paint pouring (which I still enjoy when creating one-of-a-kind coasters), quilting, pottery throwing, oil and acrylic painting, drawing, and cake decorating - I felt like a child in a creative candy store! Although I value every experience, mosaics continue to captivate me the most. Here I share some of my favorite non-mosaic works, those that hold personal meaning, showcase my growth, or served as valuable lessons (even if they were cautionary tales).
